1971 MOTO GUZZI AMBASSADOR

Super Clean Survivor!

Original paint, factory Guzzi fairing. Runs and rides better than new. This bike comes from a small collection of bikes. The owner took meticulous care of it. It was ridden regularly up until about 2 years ago. It’s been stored in a climate controlled garage and ridden occasionally. The owner has decided to sell it rather than have it sit under used. Over the past decade of ownership, he’s put maybe 5000 miles on it. There is 26300 miles on it now.

During his stewardship he has had the following done along with regular maintenance.

Nikisil cylinders, rebuilt trans (done by Dave Jackson) New clutch, rear main seal, battery, and rebuilt starter.

In 2013, this bike was brought to me after being partially disassembled by another shop that had closed mid rebuild. The pistons had been damaged in the move. So, I verified clearances, and ordered a custom made set of replacement forged pistons from Venolia Performance Pistons. I had the crank and components balanced and installed new wrist pin bushings, rod bearings, rings, gaskets and seals. I resealed the forks and rebuilt and re-jetted the carburetors. The u-joints were replaced and the rear drive was disassembled, inspected and resealed.

Part of the list of modifications was given to me on a hand written note from the first owner. The work that I did not do myself, I found on invoices from other shops between 2011 and 2015.

This is NOT a show bike. It is a rider, fast and fun. I have gone over the bike and made some adjustments, valves and re-torque heads, a few dash lights were out, and the seat bolts were rubbing on the rear tire. The odometer shows 18186. I believe the bike had about 17000 miles on it when I first saw it.

Garage Find!

This “garage find” had been sitting for close to 20 years. I’ve gone through this bike front to back. I thought it was an original paint bike but, I realized it’s not the case. Custom 1975 Moto Guzzi 850T (SOLD!)

A Craig Rodsmith Special

Unlike other custom/café builds, this bike is built from the crankshaft out. I started with a 1975 850T, this is the first Guzzi big twin with an oil filter . I upgraded to 89.5 mm Venolia forged pistons, cast iron cylinder liners. Displacement is 977 ccs and compression ratio is 10.5:1 The heads are tumble ported and matched to 36 mm Dellorto carbs. I’ve added a P3 cam and a vintage Bub Hyper exhaust system that has been ceramic coated. I updated to a 10 spring 6 pound flywheel. The crank and components are dynamically balanced. This bike puts out 95 HP at the crank. Of course, the trans and rear drive have been thoroughly gone through with all necessary upgrades and adjustments. It has a custom wire harness with a solid state regulator rectifier and an EarthX lithium ion battery. I’ve logged nearly 100 hours on this build.

The frame, swing arm, triple clamps, wheels and hubs are powder coated. The Marzocchi shocks have been rebuilt and powder coated to match the frame. Progressive springs, FAC dampers and new Brembo calipers up front for great handling and stopping power. The fuel tank comes from Tank Works in Scotland but, the rest of the metal fabrication was done by the legendary Craig Rodsmith. This is an awesome bike to ride, fast and fun.

1967 TRIUMPH TR6 TROPHY (SOLD!)

1967 Triumph TR6R. This was a display bike at Dewey’s Cycle in Seattle for over 20 years. We purchased this bike at the Mecum auction in January 2014. Once in our possession, we rebuilt the carburetor, installed a sealed battery, new rims, stainless spokes, powder coated rear hub and tires. It had been repainted by the previous owner several years ago to as close as color as possible. There is a 1968 Bonneville front TLS brake installed (original is included). Mileage shows 3982. This bike runs and drive like new, I always feel like Steve McQueen when riding it. This is a matching numbers bike, Frame: TR6RDU46585 Motor: TR6RDU46585
