  1. Hi, I have a 1973 Eldorado. Trying to get the exhaust pipe nut out of the cylinder I rounded it off a lot. Can still get a pipe wrench on it but I’m afraid of rounding it off so much I won’t get the nut out at all. Any ideas, maybe heating the nut real hot. I’m not sure what to do as not to do any damage to the jug. Thanks

    1. Jim, That’s a tough position to be in. I’ve seen it a lot though. Penetrating like Liquid wrench or PB Blaster works great. I would soak it for several days, re-applying the oil regularly. Heat the head around the nut with a propane or MAP torch. The problem is, if it’s that seized, the damage to the head may already been done. Is it one or both sides?

  2. Is there a trailer hitch available for a 2014 V7 Stone? Also on the same model why is the right side exhaust pipe turning purple and the other one is not? It only has 1,000 miles on it.

    1. Tammy, sorry for the delayed response, as far as I know there is no trailer hitch available for any Moto Guzzi models. I have seen them on bikes over the years but, the must be custom made. There are several reasons for the right head pipe to change color before the left. The most common is because the right cylinder id slightly ahead of the left, the head pipe curves down closer to the head so, it runs a bit hotter. Over time the left one will catch up.
